A BIT ABOUT ME

HI, NICE TO MEET YOU

My name is Theo Kritikos (/kree-tee-kos/), and I’m a photographer and video producer based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

My creative journey began almost twenty years ago, inspired by editorial and advertising photos in magazines. I’ve been capturing images in various forms ever since. From landscapes and macro photography for research projects as a university student to portraits and events, I explored different photography genres and learned more about the craft of photography. During this time, I discovered my passion for visual storytelling.

Fast forward a decade, after completing my PhD in disaster management, I decided to take my creative journey a step further by studying photography while working as a consultant in the corporate world. My passion for translating ideas into visual narratives also led me into screen production, opening up new possibilities for creating engaging stories. Now, I focus on assisting businesses and individuals in promoting their brand, advertising their professional services, and sharing their stories through both photography and video.

My work, whether in portrait or commercial projects, tends to have an editorial feel, and I strive to create images and videos that are authentic and engaging.
